The Service

Gallery Mate helps you record works, notes, and paths during museum and gallery visits, and keep them as a personal art journal. Features may include artifact capture, OCR, AI chat and summaries, audio guides, link transcription, sharing, offline access, and optional 3D generation.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Some features require an account, network access, device permissions, or credits.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your region) to use Gallery Mate.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You may sign in with email one-time codes, Sign in with Apple, or Google, where available.
• Provide accurate information and update it as needed. Do not impersonate others or create accounts for abusive purposes.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create or upload, including photos, journal entries, notes, reflections, voice samples, floor plans, and messages to the in-app assistant (“User Content”).

You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display User Content solely to operate and improve the Service you request—including syncing across your devices, generating AI outputs you ask for, and providing support.

• You represent that you have the rights needed to upload User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.
• Respect museum and venue photography rules. Gallery Mate does not grant permission to photograph or reproduce works beyond what the venue allows.
• AI outputs are generated from your inputs and model providers; they may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use them as aids, not as authoritative catalog or scholarly sources.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, harassing, or fraudulent purposes.
• Attempt to access others’ accounts or data, probe or disrupt our systems, or reverse engineer the Service except where allowed by law.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Misuse AI features to generate unlawful content or to overwhelm our infrastructure.
• Resell, scrape, or automate access to the Service in a way that harms other users or our providers.

Credits and purchases

Certain features may consume credits. Credit packs may be purchased through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS, Google Play Billing on Android, or other payment methods we offer on web (such as Stripe), as available in your region.

• Purchases are processed by the applicable store or payment provider under their terms and refund policies.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are for use within Gallery Mate only.
• We may change credit pricing, packs, or feature costs; changes generally apply going forward.
• If a purchase or credit grant fails, contact us through Profile → Contact / Feedback with your order details.

Intellectual property

Gallery Mate, including its name, branding, software, design, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or source code beyond the limited right to use the Service as provided.

Third-party marks (for example Apple, Google, or museum names) remain the property of their owners.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy. You can read it at the Privacy Policy page on this website.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI features will produce accurate results. Exhibition information from third parties may be incomplete or outdated.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for credits or paid features in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50, except where liability cannot be limited by law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Gallery Mate at any time and may delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will provide notice.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Gallery Mate is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply. Disputes will be resolved in a competent court or forum permitted by applicable law.
